Amerika was a mini series revolving around a military takeover of the US by the Soviet Union. In other words, it was a fantasy. We shot the plates in Toronto. I was obliged to get the 7 rotunda painting shots delivered in slightly over 3 weeks. The VistaVision plates (shot with a VERY lazy eight...) needed much stabilization, but we managed. The plate is rear projected against the glass painting.
